We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will oversee the Processes, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems and toolbox talks for the works are practiced mitigating any risk of accidents to personnel and staff. Will set the safety culture and behaviour from commencement of the Contract. Will ensure develop continues improvements and ensure accident Investigation and root causes are undertaken and corrective actions are implemented.
Will also be responsible for workers’ welfare.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE management systems and policies aligned with local and international standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with Qatar's labor laws, local HSE regulations, and international standards
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Manage and mentor the HSE team, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization
- Prepare and present detailed HSE performance reports to senior management
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HSE metrics
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in HSE management
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company in HSE-related matters
- Travel to various work sites as needed to ensure consistent implementation of HSE practices
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial or construction settings
- Experience working in Road/Highway Operation and Maintenance Contracts
- Experience working in O & M Performance-Based Contracts
- Exprience working outside MENA region
- In-depth knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment techniques, and incident investigation methodologies
