About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an HSE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our projects and operations. You will work collaboratively with various departments to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs that align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and manage project safety plans for multiple job site locations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Advise and assist project and construction management in formulating and implementing effective safety strategies
  • Lead accident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide comprehensive safety training to all workers, including site hazards, safe work procedures, and emergency response protocols
  • Monitor workplace health conditions and implement health and hygiene programs
  • Represent the company during safety inspections by regulatory authorities or insurance carriers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation and records
  • Analyze safety data and prepare periodic audit reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively encouraging safe work practices and recognizing safe behaviors
  • Stay informed about the latest HSE regulations and best practices, ensuring company compliance

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management, preferably in the construction or industrial sector
  • Certification from a recognized Safety, Health, or Environmental body (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective safety programs and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and workforce
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification
  • Experience in accident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a multicultural environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HSE management software
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
