About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HSE Engineer for site supervision in Kuwait. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for construction activities
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
- Provide HSE training and guidance to site personnel and contractors
- Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for construction sites
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging HSE trends
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HSE site supervision in construction projects
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance requirements
- Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing
- Proficiency in HSE management software and tools
- Experience with environmental management systems and industrial hygiene practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with all levels of personnel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work on-site in Kuwait and travel to various project locations as needed
