Head of Business Transformation role to lead business change and transformation initiatives and changes across Connect Plus Services, including those that interface with CP, with the aim of delivering continuous improvement and CPS goals. This role encompasses all change projects and programmes, including digital programmes,  IT systems, infrastructure, and architecture. Lead on IT and Digital transformation on the M25 DBFO – developing the digital strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a complex portfolio of digital changes. Running the IT systems and infrastructure that support a workforce of around 800 individuals. Management of a team of around 23, including the various capabilities of Digital Delivery, run of IT Systems, Information Security and Architecture, and Business Change / Improvement. Accountable for a consistent structured methodology for change projects on the M25, reporting progress, developing, and managing a portfolio plan and delivering project outcomes. Ensure that the portfolio of projects progress to plan and any risks and issues that will impact the wider business are escalated to the Business Planning Director and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Accountability for Data Architecture for Connect Plus Services, ensuring resource in place to manage Data Architecture, Data pipeline is built out and managed, and engagement with SLT and key stakeholders on delivery of data outputs and dashboards. Accountable for security of all information across the business and implementing appropriate security controls and measures to ensure that all data created as part of the DBFO contract is kept secure and stored appropriately. Leading a team with key skills and capabilities across Business Change, IT, and Digital and managing third parties who provide various IT services. In addition, develop the enterprise / solution architecture capability to provide a clear view of the system landscape and impact of change programmes. Lead the Change Board to enable all change projects across the business to obtain funding for projects and programmes via a structured business case methodology. Review strategy developed by Business Planning Manager and deliver components of agreed strategy through Business Transformation team. Develop a digital strategy, vision, and roadmap to build engagement and communicate delivery. Regularly review progress made with Director of Business Planning & Performance, and update with SLT feedback.

 


About the Role

· Business Change capability building and embedding.

· Delivery of Business Change initiatives across Connect Plus Services.

· Oversight of Business Change governance and progress reporting.

· Accountability for IT service provision across the DBFO Co, including IT service desk and IT infrastructure.

· Accountability for digital portfolio.

· Oversight of technology project delivery methodology, which is owned by the Digital Delivery Lead.

· Management of all commercial processes in conjunction with the CPS commercial team.

· Regular updates on progress made and status reporting to the PMO Director, Senior Leadership Team, and CPS Board.

· Engage senior leaders across the business to ensure they take accountability for key portfolio benefits in conjunction with the Finance team.

· Ownership of key governance forums on progress made, such as the CPS Change Board.

· Security of all data generated as part of the DBFO contract and ensuring controls and measures in place to mitigate risk.

· Management of Digital and Data budget and engagement with Finance Business Partner.

· Identification, reporting and tracking of functional and business level risks, issues, and dependencies. Escalating to senior leadership levels as required.

 


What do we need from you

Formal programme management qualification, such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), Prince2 Practitioner, or and equivalent senior level qualification

· Manage portfolio of major transformation programmes

· Deliver and enable business change and transformation programmes

· Develop and implement business transformation standards, tools and methodologies

· Drive digital adoption and change

· Manage CPS technology systems to support transformation

· Builds continuous improvement capability

· Technology strategy development and articulation.

· Successfully managing large change programmes through to timely completion and working with Sponsors to ensure delivery of benefits.

· Delivery of project/programme benefits through to realisation.

· Leading Programme Boards and Change Board.

· Stakeholder engagement and influencing

· Management of multiple stakeholder organisations (parent companies of Joint Venture, client organisation, and suppliers).

· Developing a technology project lifecycle across the organisation and ensuring key documentation is in place.

· Shaping of new large programmes and business case development to ensure support to commence work.

· Budget development and management (ideally of technology).

· Expertise in digital technology and its application.

· Interdependency identification and tracking
