About Us

Context

As part of its Transportation business, Egis delivers engineering services for large infrastructure projects including MRTs, LRTs, High-Speed / Commuter Railways, Highways, Major Bridges, Tunnels and Ports. These services include planning, designs, costing, tendering, construction management and other services to support project preparation, implementation and delivery for our clients globally.

To perform these services, our teams use off-the-shelf digital solutions supplemented by in-house developments, all of which are supported by our global IT infrastructure.

As we aim to leverage ongoing technology improvements, particularly those driven by AI including agentic AI, we are seeking an experienced leader to help define our digital strategy and drive its implementation across our Transportation business globally.


About the Role

Role & Responsibilities

In this context, the Digital Transformation Director will specifically be in charge of the following:

 

  1. Build the Digital Transformation Roadmap for our Transportation Business
    1. Establish a mid-term vision specifying the digital capabilities required to support our Transportation business strategy and meet market expectations.
    2. Conduct a gap analysis vs current capabilities.
    3. Develop a strategic plan to bridge the gaps, taking into account ongoing initiatives and technology developments, particularly on agentic AI.
    4. Define a practical roadmap for the first 12 months with specific targets, implementation plans, resources and budgets.

 

  1. Deliver the Digital Transformation Roadmap
    1. Drive the implementation of the roadmap in coordination with global and regional leaders, maintaining agility to incorporate new developments and adjustments as required.
    2. Prioritize agentic AI developments and dissemination to secure early adoption.
    3. Track progress and benefits throughout implementation.

 

  1. Enhance Data Management
    1. In connection with the above tasks, review existing datasets and data management practices to identify required improvements and value creation opportunities.
    2. Drive data management enhancements in line with Group policies.

 

  1. Upskilling
    1. In connection with the above tasks, assess current digital skillsets across the Transportation business and identify training needs.
    2. Develop training plans and monitor their implementation in coordination with HR teams.

 

  1. Digital Offering & Go-to-Market
    1. Promote partnerships with key technology providers and industrial partners to expand our digital market offering.
    2. Lead the development of specific high value-added technical software solutions for internal use and/or market offering depending on business cases.
    3. Contribute to strategic proposals with cutting-edge digital contents.

What do we need from you

  • MSc in computational sciences or engineering
  • 10 years professional experience including 3 years leading digital transformation.
  • Fully acquainted with AI roll-out implications for engineering businesses.
  • Results-driven, solution-oriented.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and share a strategic vision, foster alignment, drive change and secure adoption.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment as part of a global firm.
  • Able to efficiently interact with internal stakeholders on a wide range of topics incl. digital, operational, organizational and financial matters.
  • Fluent in English.
