About the Role

 Responsibilities:

 Assist the senior engineers with site assessments for renewable energy generation projects, including solar, wind, and renewable fuels, evaluating site conditions, resource availability, and potential constraints to determine project feasibility.

•    Support with writing the technical reports to a high standard, producing comprehensive documentation such as feasibility studies, performance assessments, and compliance reports tailored to client and regulatory requirements.

•    Assist the team with energy audits to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions to improve energy performance and reduce environmental impact.

•    Provide assistance to the team on performing detailed system sizing, energy modelling, and cost analysis.

•    If required, participate and shadow client and internal meetings as part of the energy team.

•    Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in order to gather information and documentation that will assist the other engineers on the team to produce planning documents and submit planning applications.
 


What do we need from you

Essential

•    You must have graduated from an Engineering Degree with a 2:1 or higher in any of the following: Electrical/Mechanical/Process Engineering.
•    We are seeking strong candidates who are interested in working in any of the following fields: Energy, Process Engineering, Sustainability, Energy Efficiency (Solar/Hydro).
•    You will have a keen interest in engineering design and an enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 
•    You will understand team dynamics and the enthusiasm to work as a member of a team. You must have a full clean driver’s license. 


Desirable


•    Member of Engineers Ireland or other relevant professional body.
•    Awareness of types of engineering contracts.
•    Experience in the field of sustainability and or renewable energy projects
•    For graduate positions, it is desirable to have experience in engineering design, knowledge of contract types and of safety and health regulations with regard to the design process.
