About the Role

Egis is seeking a Graduate Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to join our site-based project team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an excellent opportunity for Emirati graduates to gain hands-on experience on large-scale infrastructure and building projects while developing technical, professional, and site coordination skills under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Engineer – Site, you will:

  • Support site engineers in the supervision and execution of mechanical or electrical works in accordance with project specifications and drawings
  • Assist with site inspections, monitoring contractor activities, and ensuring compliance with approved plans, standards, and safety requirements
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals with senior engineers
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth site operations
  • Attend site meetings and assist with the preparation of progress reports and technical documentation
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities
  • Ensure adherence to HSE policies, quality standards, and local authority regulations
  • Perform other site-related engineering tasks as required to support project delivery

What do we need from you

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university

Experience

  • Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience (internships or site training considered an advantage)

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems in buildings or infrastructure projects
  • Strong willingness to learn and work in a site-based environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage
  • Good command of English
