About the Role

Role Summary

The Graduate Engineer is a recent Saudi engineering graduate who will initially support the Project Director (PD) on the SILZ project, assisting in coordination, documentation, reporting, and cross-disciplinary tasks. Over time, the candidate will undergo a structured development plan, gain exposure to all engineering disciplines, and gradually assume more specialized responsibilities aligned with their academic background, ultimately transitioning into a Discipline Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities (Initial Phase – Support to PD)

  • • Assist the Project Director in daily operations, including progress tracking, meeting coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • • Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, and logs.
  • • Prepare draft reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence as directed.
  • • Support the coordination between the Client, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • • Participate in site walks, technical reviews, and coordination meetings to understand project scope and execution.
  • • Ensure proper filing and control of technical documents, drawings, and submittals.
  • • Provide ad hoc support to project team members from various engineering disciplines.

Development Plan (6 to 12 Months)

  • • Participate in cross-disciplinary training (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
  • • Undergo project-specific technical onboarding and safety induction.
  • • Receive mentorship from senior engineers and discipline leads.
  • • Complete hands-on assignments and assist in field inspections.
  • • Attend external and internal workshops to build technical competencies.

Future Responsibilities (Post-Transition – Discipline Engineer)

  • • Take ownership of assigned technical scope within their engineering discipline.
  • • Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • • Conduct site inspections and ensure work execution is in line with approved plans and specifications.
  • • Identify risks or issues within their discipline and recommend solutions.
  • • Interface with contractors, consultants, and suppliers on discipline-specific technical matters.
  • • Support QA/QC processes and contribute to snagging and close-out stages.

What do we need from you

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) from a recognized university.

Supplementary certifications or diplomas in one or more of the following areas (preferred or in progress):

  •     • Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) – e.g., Aconex, PMWeb, Procore, Primavera Unifier
  •     • Building Information Modeling (BIM) – Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent
  •     • Construction Technology & Digital Delivery – Smart construction tools and automation platforms
  •     • IT & Digital Tools for Engineers – Google IT Support, Microsoft Certified: Power BI/Data Analyst, CompTIA ITF+
  •     • Project Planning & Scheduling – Primavera P6, MS Project

Saudi National – recent graduate with up to 2 years of experience.

Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Proficient in MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD, Power BI, and other digital tools is a plus.

Eagerness to grow within a multi-disciplinary environment and learn from senior professionals.

Adaptable, tech-savvy, and committed to continuous development.
