We are seeking a Graduate Engineer – Roads and Civil to join our Design team in Amman, Jordan. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their engineering career within a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers on the design and development of road and civil infrastructure projects, contributing to the planning and technical delivery of schemes from conception through to completion. - Assist in the design and analysis of road and civil infrastructure projects, utilising industry-standard software and design principles
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation in accordance with relevant standards and codes - Conduct site surveys and analyse data to support design development and decision-making - Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges - Review and quality-assure design outputs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements
- Contribute to the preparation of design reports and technical presentations for clients and stakeholders - Maintain organised project records and documentation throughout the design process - Support the team in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs - Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of emerging design methodologies and technologies
**Required:** - Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, particularly in roads and transportation infrastructure - Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D - Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and design documentation
- Solid understanding of design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities - Effective communication and people skills - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment **Desirable:**
- Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and associated software - Familiarity with traffic engineering principles and analysis - Knowledge of hydraulic and drainage design - Experience with specialist design software such as HEC-RAS - Basic project management experience or awareness - Understanding of sustainable design practices in civil infrastructure
