About the Role

Step into a role where your ideas and curiosity genuinely matter. As a Graduate Consultant, you’ll contribute to real projects from your first week.

You’ll support rail and rolling stock projects across Australia for a range of clients, as well as contribute to developing our business through tenders and other engagements. Join our dynamic and high-performing Rail team for the 2027 Graduate intake!

Key responsibilities

  • Client Focus: Develop ongoing relationships with industry clients and engage with stakeholders. Build your communication and presentation skills through client interactions, with opportunities to represent Egis in client-facing environments and contribute to a diverse range of rail projects.
  • Teamwork: You’ll work alongside a variety of specialists, learning how different disciplines come together to deliver successful projects. Collaborate with teams across Australia to support tender submissions and build industry networks.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle real challenges, think creatively and help shape practical solutions that improve project outcomes.
  • Quality Focus: Learn how we meet industry standards and regulations while delivering work we’re proud of.

What do we need from you

What do we need from you

  • Graduating prior to commencing full-time work in February 2027
  • Tertiary degree in Civil, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Available to start February 2027
  • Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia. This position is not open to applicants outside of Australia

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present confidently and engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Genuine interest in rail infrastructure and consulting projects
  • Relevant internship, vacation, or industry experience is highly valued
