The role:
As a Graduate BIM Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting BIM processes across multiple projects, focusing on model coordination, quality control, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will assist in creating and managing BIM models, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and management of BIM models, ensuring alignment with project specifications and design standards.
- Coordinate with the engineering, drafting, and design teams to integrate models and address BIM requirements effectively.
- Ensure model accuracy and data quality by conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Assist in preparing BIM documentation, including reports, schedules, and model logs.
- Support the configuration and organisation of shared models to facilitate collaborative workflows.
- Respond to Field Change Requests and address issues raised by project teams or contractors.
- Collaborate with the BIM Manager to improve BIM processes, data management, and deliverables quality.
- Participate in BIM meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing and lessons learned initiatives across the project teams.
This role suits a recent graduate or junior professional with a keen interest in Building Information Modeling and infrastructure design. Essential skills and attributes include:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in BIM, Civil Engineering, or a related field with some BIM experience.
- Software skills: Familiarity with a variety of BIM software. Experience with Tekla and Navisworks is especially advantageous but not essential.
- Analytical skills: Proficient in investigating complex topics by integrating data from diverse sources, performing detailed analyses, and identifying logical action plans from the findings.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaboration: A team-oriented approach with a proactive attitude towards learning and innovation.
- Interest in development: Eagerness to build technical skills related to coding and tool development.
