About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman - Traffic to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Traffic Foreman, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating traffic control operations for various construction and maintenance projects throughout the city. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow around work sites while adhering to local regulations and safety standards.
- Oversee and direct traffic control teams to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow around construction sites and road work areas
- Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management plans in compliance with local regulations and safety standards
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and government officials to address traffic-related issues and concerns
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all team members adhere to established safety protocols
- Monitor and maintain inventory of traffic control equipment and supplies
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on traffic control operations and incidents
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and unexpected traffic situations
- Train and mentor junior team members on traffic control procedures and best practices
- Stay updated on the latest traffic management technologies and techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize traffic management strategies
- Make decisive decisions to resolve traffic-related challenges in real-time
What do we need from you
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic management or a related field
- Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Valid Traffic Control Certification
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Extensive knowledge of traffic management systems, safety protocols, and regulations
- Strong project management and team leadership skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and project management software
- In-depth understanding of local traffic laws and regulations in Dubai
- Familiarity with Dubai's road network and traffic patterns
- Knowledge of road construction and maintenance processes
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety
