About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
- Supervise and lead multiple teams of workers, subcontractors, and trades personnel
- Interpret and communicate project plans, blueprints, and specifications to team members
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, local building codes, and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures when necessary
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to upper management
- Mentor and train junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge
- Maintain open communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successful project completion
- Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, best practices, and local building codes in Dubai
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- In-depth understanding of construction equipment operation and maintenance
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
- Familiarity with UAE labor laws and construction regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
