About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chargehand - Airless spray painter to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this supervisory role, you will oversee spray painting operations, ensure quality standards are met, and lead a team of spray painters on various projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in airless spray painting with strong leadership capabilities, maintaining efficiency while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate daily spray painting operations, ensuring all work meets project specifications and quality standards
- Operate and maintain airless spray painting equipment, troubleshooting technical issues and performing routine maintenance
- Prepare surfaces and select appropriate coating materials based on project requirements and environmental conditions
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on proper spray painting techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to UAE and GCC standards
- Organize work schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and manage project timelines
- Communicate with project managers and clients regarding progress, challenges, and completion status
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and equipment maintenance
- Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste
What do we need from you
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with airless spray painting in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in a supervisory or chargehand role managing teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating application standards
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining airless spray painting equipment and related tools
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the UAE/GCC region
- Demonstrated ability to conduct quality control inspections and identify defects
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical execution
- Preferred: Experience with various coating materials, finishes, and specialized applications
- Preferred: Project management experience or formal supervisory training
- Preferred: Experience training and developing team members
