The Consulting and Operations BL (for which this post is intended) is made up of three service lines:

- SL Operations & Maintenance (5,000 km of motorway, 20 airports, 1 metro and mobility services), with around 6,000 employees and turnover of almost 400 million euros

- SL Advisory, with around 500 employees and sales of almost 100 million euros

- SL Aviation Consulting & Engeneering, with around 300 employees and nearly 80 million euros in sales.


About the Role

The ESG/Climate director reports directly to the Director of the Consulting & Operations Business Line.

He/She works closely with all Service Lines and all Regions to ensure the achievement of our ESG commitments.

He/She will directly manage one person and work closely with a network of ESG coordinators across the Business line (no direct management but dedicated time). The main responsibilities are:

Carbon footprint & Decarbonization trajectory:

  • Overview of the O&M carbon footprint calculation (that is only partial at mid-year and complete in January) made with the direct support of each O&M companies
  • Supervision of the implementation of the O&M decarbonization action plan to ensure the achievement of our Science-Based Targets.
  • Coordinate C&O BL participation to the “Carbon initiative” of Egis (for consulting and engineering branch of the BL)

▬ Ecodesign & eco-operation deployment:

  • Overall coordination for eco-design training at BL level:
  • For Aviation SL only, eco-design framework adaptation to local context and project evaluation

▬ Contributive Turnover:

  • Coordination on the “contributive turnover” calculation at BL level o Work with all regions and service lines to ensure the development of our “contributive” offers

▬ Transversal support:

  • Contract acquisition: Support to the project team at each phase (Go/NoGo, tender writting, Risks & Commitment Committee)
  • M&A: ESG analysis prior to Acquisition Committees up to ESG support for the integration of this new subsidiaries
  • Active participation to the work of the ESG coreteam at group level including:
    • Follow-up on the CSRD workstream in coordination with the headquarters to anticipate our 2025 reporting
    • Follow-up on the Environmental management (ISO 14 0001) for C&O BL - France Region
    • Participation to the definition of the new “Sustainable Development Orientations” of the group (2026-2029)

What do we need from you

  • Language: Fluent in English and French
  • Education: Master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in ESG or sustainability. Experience on the infrastructure field preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ESG principles and frameworks (e.g., carbon footprint, SBTi, CSRD…). Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Personal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership. Change management.
