About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Environment Manager to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing environmental activities across projects, including construction assurance, environmental monitoring, regulatory liaison, stakeholder engagement, and environmental data analysis and reporting. The role requires strong technical capability across environmental disciplines and extensive experience working within the GCC and Saudi Arabia.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee environmental management systems and programs in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabian environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, project commitments and relevant international standards
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments, compliance reviews, site inspections and construction environmental assurance activities to identify potential compliance gaps and areas for improvement
  • Prepare and maintain detailed environmental documentation, records, monitoring reports, technical assessments and reports for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholder review
  • Manage and review environmental monitoring and modelling activities, including air quality, noise and vibration
  • Provide technical oversight and advice in relation to hydrology, ecology and contamination
  • Analyze environmental data and metrics to track performance against established targets, identify trends and support technical and regulatory decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project disciplines to integrate environmental considerations into design, construction and project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, approvals, project environmental requirements and organizational policies
  • Lead environmental regulatory liaison and coordinate submissions, approvals and responses to environmental authorities in Saudi Arabia
  • Manage engagement with clients, regulators, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders on environmental matters
  • Oversee environmental monitoring programmes and review monitoring data to identify exceedances, trends and required mitigation or corrective actions
  • Investigate environmental incidents and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Stay current with changes in environmental regulations and industry standards relevant to operations in Saudi Arabia
  • Communicate and present environmental findings, risks, performance and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

What do we need from you

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in environmental management
  • Proven experience in construction environmental assurance and environmental compliance
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly those applicable in Saudi Arabia
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental monitoring, including interpretation and analysis of monitoring data
  • Technical proficiency in air quality, noise and vibration monitoring and modelling
  • Technical knowledge and experience in hydrology, ecology and contamination
  • Proven experience in regulatory liaison and engagement with environmental authorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience coordinating with clients, regulators, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze environmental data and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical environmental information clearly
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
