We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Environment Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting environmental management and compliance activities, with a particular focus on construction environmental assurance, environmental monitoring, regulatory liaison and stakeholder engagement. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to monitor environmental performance, analyze environmental data and support compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
- Support construction environmental assurance activities, including site inspections and compliance monitoring
- Implement and support environmental monitoring programs in accordance with project and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain comprehensive environmental documentation, reports, and records to ensure regulatory compliance and organizational accountability
- Analyze environmental data to identify trends, potential non-compliances and required corrective actions
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into construction and project delivery activities
- Support regulatory liaison, including the preparation and coordination of environmental information and submissions to relevant authorities
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections to verify compliance with established policies and legal requirements
- Engage and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities and other project stakeholders on environmental matters
- Prepare and present environmental monitoring results, compliance findings and other environmental information to relevant stakeholders
- Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry standards to ensure organizational compliance
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional environmental experience
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a similar discipline
- GCC and Saudi Arabia experience, including construction environmental assurance and environmental monitoring
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and permitting processes applicable to Saudi Arabia
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex environmental data
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory liaison and engagement with relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate environmental monitoring and compliance information clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- A postgraduate qualification in an environmental or related discipline is preferred
