We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Engineer - Roads to join our dynamic infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining road infrastructure projects that serve our communities. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality road solutions that meet international standards and exceed expectations. - Design and develop road infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, technical specifications, and detailed engineering plans in compliance with local and international standards
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and condition assessments to evaluate existing road conditions and identify maintenance or rehabilitation requirements
- Analyze road performance data and recommend appropriate maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation measures to optimize asset longevity
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, project documentation, and presentations for senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution
- Manage road maintenance activities and coordinate with field teams to ensure optimal road conditions and extended service life
- Provide technical support and guidance on road design standards, construction practices, and quality assurance protocols
- Utilize asset management systems and digital tools to track road conditions, maintenance schedules, and project progress
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in road engineering and incorporate innovative solutions into projects
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control and assurance programs for road construction and maintenance
- Respond to urgent issues and participate in emergency response activities when required
- Support the development of annual asset management plans and long-term infrastructure strategies
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in roads engineering, design, or maintenance
- Proven expertise in road design, analysis, and rehabilitation techniques
- Strong understanding of local and international road design and maintenance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance practices in road construction and maintenance
- Knowledge of road safety standards and best practices
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Roads Engineering, or a related field
- Working towards or holding membership of a professional body (e.g., ICE, CIHT, or equivalent)
- Experience with asset management systems such as Maximo or similar platforms
- Familiarity with real-time asset databases and digital infrastructure management tools
- Project management experience and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Awareness of related areas such as drainage, geotechnical engineering, and environmental considerations
- Experience with road safety audits and emergency repair management
- Knowledge of sustainable and innovative road construction techniques
