North-Link M1 Ltd is the organisation responsible for the operations of the M1 Toll Plaza located at Balgeen, Julianstown in Co Meath.
We manage toll collection and processes surrounding the smooth operation of the Plaza. We are responsible for operation and maintenance of the motorway stretching between junction 7 at Drogheda and junction 18 at Dundalk, including the Mary McAleese Bridge, Ireland’s largest cable stayed bridge which spans the river Boyne at Drogheda.
Our role centres around the safety and efficiency of the M1, making journeys safer and smoother, connecting communities all along and around the motorway.
We are looking for an experienced engineer, with experience in motorway or tolling operations, and an interest in contributing to the safe operation of a key part of the nation’s infrastructure.
About the Role
RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES: Main Duties include:
• Day to Day Planned Maintenance (60% approx.) and Project Management (40% approx.) on North Link Road M1 PPP J7 Drogheda to J18 Dundalk including M1 Boyne cable stay bridge and Toll also:
• Project Coordination, Survey Analysis & Reporting, Task orders (i.e.: Signage, lighting) managing subcontractors as well as Health & Safety.
• PSCS qualification/experience would be advantageous.

What do we need from you
Suitable Candidates will have a minimum level 7 Civil Engineering with a minimum of 4+ years experience at senior level – on Roads/Transport projects.
This experience will include a mix of Site Supervision, Design, Project Coordination.
We would also be interested in talking to candidates from a construction or maintenance background or Graduate Civil Engineers who would have an interest in the role and taking up the opportunity to be trained into our operation.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver on challenging and multidisciplinary tasks, exhibiting the following skills:
· Excellent and varied technical and engineering skills
· Confidence in organising and planning
· Drive and initiative in progressing projects
· Familiarity with on-site surveying equipment and procedures
· Commercial Awareness
· IT Proficiency

Role location:
At the North-Link offices at Julianstown, Co Meath, and/or the maintenance depot at Dunleer, Co Louth,
with the option for remote working one day per week.
