Engineer - Dry Utilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Engineer - Dry Utilities to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will assist in the planning, design, and coordination of dry utility systems for various construction projects throughout the region.

• Assist in the design and drafting of dry utility systems, including electricity, gas, and telecommunications infrastructure
• Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess existing conditions
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met
• Perform basic calculations and analysis related to dry utility systems
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and permit applications
• Stay up-to-date with local building codes, regulations, and utility company standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
• Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in dry utility engineering or related field; internship or co-op experience preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Basic understanding of dry utility systems, including electricity, gas, and telecommunications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
• Familiarity with utility company standards and practices
• Willingness to conduct occasional site visits and work flexible hours when required
