The Egis team have been active in Ireland since 1984, evolving and expanding over time into a company that offers an end-to-end service; planning, designing and operating smart cities, active travel systems, water and energy infrastructure, buildings and structures.

In 2023 JB Barry and Partners was welcomed into Egis, bringing our award-winning team to almost 600 members across 16 offices nationwide. Our Team includes designers, engineers, surveyors, project managers, technologists, geo-technical and environmental teams, asset and maintenance managers and quantity surveyors all working together

• Project planning and management to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance.
• Review and make comment on reports or designs.
• Create scope and estimates and assign large and small work to appropriate entity .
• Review completion certificates to complete the end to end process.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical regulations.
• Preparation of contract documentation and specifications to meet industry standards.
• Designing and reviewing design work of intermediate and junior engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Coordination of work with all members of the design team to achieve project objectives.
• Ensuring that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
• Estimating and cost control on projects to maximize value for clients.
• Compiling project reports to provide accurate and timely information.
• Conceptual design studies and reports to inform project decisions.
• Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or actively pursuing chartership 
• Technically excellent with in-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Experience in leading and supervising multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Competent in electrical design software and technology.
• Highly motivated and proactive with a willingness to take on new challenges.
