We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in nuclear power systems to join our team in Navi Mumbai, India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for nuclear power plants, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for nuclear power plants, including power distribution, instrumentation, and control systems
- Perform detailed electrical calculations and analysis to ensure system reliability and safety
- Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Conduct safety analyses and risk assessments for electrical systems in nuclear facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with other plant components
- Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in existing nuclear power plant systems
- Develop and implement maintenance and testing procedures for electrical equipment
- Manage projects related to electrical system upgrades or modifications
- Stay updated on advancements in nuclear power technology and electrical engineering practices
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on nuclear power plants
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices specific to nuclear power systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for creating technical drawings
- Experience with SCADA systems, power distribution systems, and circuit design
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems in nuclear facilities
- Familiarity with nuclear safety regulations and standards, including NRC requirements
- Experience in conducting safety analyses and risk assessments for nuclear power plants
- Knowledge of radiation protection principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in Navi Mumbai, India, and travel to nuclear facilities as required
- Nuclear-specific certifications (e.g., Nuclear Regulatory Commission certifications) are a plus
