About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Draughtsman to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an office-based MEP Draughtsman, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing MEP systems for various construction projects, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Develop comprehensive MEP designs for commercial and residential buildings using advanced software tools
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall building designs
- Perform load calculations and equipment sizing for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports for MEP installations
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize building performance and sustainability
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors and vendors
- Provide technical support during construction phases, including site visits and inspections
- Troubleshoot MEP-related issues and propose effective solutions
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in MEP engineering
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree ior Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP design for commercial and residential buildings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Experience with energy modeling software and sustainable design practices
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment
