About the Role

What will you be doing as our new Document Control Apprentice?

Level 4  Information Management

Term: 18 months Fixed Term Contract

Salary £22,000 per annum.

You will primarily work on our Old Oak Common project but will be asked to work on other projects as and when required.

As an apprentice, you will be expected to work 4 days per week on projects with 1 day per week spent at remotely undertaking a Level 4  Information Management

We are looking for someone who wants to learn and gain the skills, knowledge, and experience of the Digital Management side of our business,

The role's main purpose is to maintain the project filing system and prepare documents for storage/archiving as appropriate. Reporting to the Lead Document Controller, the successful candidate will support team members in maintaining the smooth running of the administration function and will be working closely with the design team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Checking and gaining approval of documents before they are filed and distributed.
  • Maintain the project filing system and prepare documents for digital storage/archiving as appropriate.
  • Support team members in maintaining the smooth running of the administration function.
  • Requesting files in various digital formats
  • To provide administrative support to the technical and project teams
  • Coordination with the different departments of HS2 and external consultants
  • Following document processes on various digital platforms, Microsoft Suites, ASITE & ALIM
  • Communicate professionally with all stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

  • A proven proactive approach to customer service
  • Proven experience of using Microsoft Office and other packages for the collation of data
  • Ability to multi-task and organise documents/files proficiently.
  • Have a proven ability to communicate with people at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently.
  • A keen interest of following and improving processes.

Must have the right to work in the UK

This will be site based at Old Oak Common Station,Old Oak Common Lane, London, NW10 6DZ so ideally you will be based in the local community.

 

 

 


What do we need from you

4 (Higher) considered equivalent to a foundation degree:

We will look for GCSEs and level 3 qualifications, such as A-levels, or their equivalents, such as a BTEC.

Minimum Standard Grade / ’C’ Grade (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
