About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Discipline Lead - Mechanical to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all mechanical engineering activities within our organization, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation in our projects.

  • Lead the mechanical engineering discipline, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the MEP Middle East team.
  • Develop and implement mechanical engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices
  • Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks on mechanical engineering designs and documentation on all projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of standardized mechanical engineering documentation across all projects 
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in mechanical engineering
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
  • Drive innovation, computational design efforts and process improvements within the mechanical engineering discipline
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal preparations
  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering mentorship and training programmes

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's or Chartership preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in leading projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices in the Middle East.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale engineering projects
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing engineering teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in complex engineering environments
  • In-depth understanding of Middle East and international engineering standards and regulations
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
