We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Construction to join our organisation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership role will spearhead our project management office, overseeing critical urban development and infrastructure initiatives that shape the future of our region.
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) for construction, urban planning, and infrastructure projects
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organisational goals
- Oversee multiple large-scale urban development and infrastructure projects simultaneously
- Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with senior executives, government officials, and key stakeholders to drive project success
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure optimal utilisation and cost-effectiveness
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective risk management strategies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standards
- Drive innovation in project management practices and urban planning approaches
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master's degree in Project Management or Business Administration preferred
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in successfully delivering large-scale urban development and infrastructure projects
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, urban planning principles, and infrastructure development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities
- Advanced financial management and budgeting skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Proficiency in risk management and problem-solving
- Advanced MS Office skills and experience with project management software
- In-depth understanding of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standards
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills highly desirable
