About the Role

The scope of this appointment seeks an experienced team for the Design Management support for the projects currently entering stages 2C and 2D, however, the intent is that the team shall continue into stage 3 also. The design needs to develop non-asset items such as landscape, municipal buildings, and infrastructure.
The consultant shall provide design management consultancy services to the Gulf of Aqaba Region to assist in the delivery of the projects through all identified stages, including the following responsibilities.

1.    Preparing, amending, updating design briefs, asset briefs, scopes of work documents,
2.    Preparation of work orders, confirming contracts, and similar tasks in the procurement and execution of the design projects. Coordination with the procurement team to ensure all contractual work is in order and assisting when and where needed to ensure the smooth execution of the design project.
3.    Coordinating and collaborating with all consultants, sub-consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the design project and achieve the required design goals.
4.    Executing design projects in line with the project schedule.
5.    Attending, hosting, and coordinating design project meetings as assigned by the Gulf of Aqaba.
6.    Scheduling regular and ad-hoc meetings with design partners and other stakeholders,
7.    Organizing, preparing, and chairing design project kick-off meetings and presentations,
8.    Providing guidance and feedback regarding design work to all design partners during regular or ad hoc meetings.
9.    Maintaining day-to-day correspondence with design partners/ design competitors, assisting with questions or administrative queries.
10.    Evaluation of design submissions, coordination of evaluations from stakeholders, and reporting  with Evaluation results, observations, and recommendations.
11.    Executing amendments or corrections to the submissions based on design directions .
12.    Provision of Design & Project management expertise and support across the said scope.
13.    Compilation of all design material and submissions to allow the team to prepare presentations and/or exhibitions.
14.    Organizing, attending, and/or assisting in workshops, site visits, or travel (these will be on a case-by-case basis)
15.    Ensuring the design work exceeds quality expectations in line with the project guidelines.
16.    Preparation of lessons learned reports and attending and contributing to similar workshops to improve service.
17.    Following all project policies and guidelines.
18.    IAB support and management.
19.    Workshop attendance and travel.
