About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager - Architectural to join our prestigious firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee and guide the architectural design process for high-profile projects across the region.
- Lead and inspire a team of architects and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Manage multiple complex architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop and refine architectural designs
- Oversee the creation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve project outcomes
- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with client requirements and project objectives
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively
- Present design concepts and progress updates to clients and senior management
- Stay abreast of industry trends and innovative design practices to maintain the firm's competitive edge
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Professional architectural licence or registration
- Minimum 12 years of experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of managing complex mix used development projects
- Advanced proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and mentoring design teams
- In-depth knowledge of architectural design principles, practices, and current industry trends
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience in client relations and stakeholder management
- Understanding of sustainable design practices and LEED principles
- LEED AP certification is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
