We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Construction Director to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing large-scale construction projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.
- Assist the Construction Director in developing and implementing strategic plans for construction projects
- Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Analyze project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management and clients
- Ensure compliance with local and international construction regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization across projects
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Drive innovation and implement best practices in construction methodologies and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 18 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects
- Proficiency in project management and construction management software, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) and AutoCAD
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting
- Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience with international projects, particularly in the Middle East, is highly desirable
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED AP are preferred
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed choices under pressure
- Willingness to travel within the region as required
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
