We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Depot & Track Equipment professional to join our operations team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and operational management of depot and track equipment. You will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely while maintaining comprehensive records and adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Inspect, maintain, and service depot and track equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and safety compliance
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs or coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve issues
- Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, inspections, and performance metrics
- Conduct routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements through systematic inspections and documentation
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment components, coordinating procurement as needed
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to prioritize maintenance schedules and equipment availability
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements
- Train and support team members on proper equipment handling, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
- Prepare comprehensive reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and operational efficiency
- Proven experience in depot operations, track equipment maintenance, or similar equipment management roles
- Strong technical knowledge of railway or transportation equipment systems and components
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance management systems and diagnostic tools
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements in transportation or logistics operations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in inventory management and maintenance tracking software
- Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive equipment records and documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and repair
