As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will support the cybersecurity team in securing systems used within critical aviation infrastructures, including airports, Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) systems, and avionics/aircraft systems. You will assist in both new deployment projects and in enhancing the cybersecurity of existing systems. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity solutions that recognize the operational environments in which our clients' systems work. This position offers an opportunity to work in a global team with a common interest in developing cybersecurity in operational aviation environments. You will be mentored and guided to be ready for your next challenge, and there is a high possibility you will be hired for a permanent role based on your performance and commitment.
During your internship you will:
Client Needs Analysis: Learn the specific cybersecurity requirements of clients for their ICT projects.
Cybersecurity Solutions Support: Learn how we support the design of cybersecurity solutions tailored to each project.
Integration of Technologies: Discover how Egis integrates cutting-edge technologies into the client's systems.
Project Assistance: Support the project team in various stages of the project lifecycle.
Risk Assessment and System Mapping: Learn how we evaluate risks to systems in collaboration with stakeholders.
Vulnerability Assessment and Compliance: Participate in conducting vulnerability assessments (on VAPT reports) and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Cybersecurity Solutions Maintenance: Observe the maintaining cybersecurity solutions to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and analysing malware and obfuscated code.
Data Analytics: Assist in big data log correlation and analysing endpoint, network, and application logs to identify security incidents.
Documentation and Reporting: Learn about the documentation and reporting of cybersecurity governance activities for maintaining transparency and accountability.
Key role experiences, competencies and qualifications:
- Studying 3rd/4th year or recent graduate in a relevant field such as IT, Software Engineering, Electronics or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
