Join us at the Motorway Operations Control Centre (MOCC), where we monitor 1200km of motorway, tunnel and national roads on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). We invite you to become part of our dedicated team committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety for road users. This is a unique role and given that there is nothing else quite like it in Ireland, we provide full, comprehensive training on all our safety response and traffic management systems. Our control room features one of Europe’s largest wall mounted TV set ups, which provides an overview of the entire network. On behalf of TII, the MOCC co-ordinate emergency responses to a variety of incidents including multi vehicle collisions, shed loads, and most famously, assisting ducklings crossing the motorway. We also use a world leading traffic management system to manage incidents and congestion on the M50 in Dublin.
Based at Dublin Tunnel in East Wall, Dublin 3, we are open 24/7, 365 days a year and take great pride in the service we provide to the public. We are part of an ever-growing infrastructure that combines world-class operating systems with real world application, which results in a very unique job that a lot of people did not know even existed.
