About Us

Egis with its partners (jointly called METAV) have been appointed as Network Manager, to work closely with the client in managing the planning, design and construction of 3 new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv. The 3 new metro lines will total 149km and 109 metro stations to serve 24 municipalities. Key figures:

  • Operational in 2034.
  • Estimated 2 million passengers per day will benefit from the new metro network.
  • €50bn estimated cost.
  • Benefits to Tel Aviv: 30% increase in public transport use and €8bn in economic benefits to the local economy.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our international team on a major Metro Rail infrastructure project. The role focuses on supporting the client with contract management best practice, contractual correspondence, claims preparation and review, and supporting the commercial and legal aspects of project execution. The successful candidate will have a strong contract commercial management, legal and/or engineering background, experience with FIDIC contracts, and the ability to navigate complex claims in a multicultural environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide contract management best practice advice and support to the client;

- Manage the following and/or advise/support the client in this regard, as per the delegation of tasks:

  • Manage and draft formal project correspondence with clients, contractors, and partners.
  • Prepare, analyze, and respond to claims, variations, and contractual notices, ensuring compliance with project agreements and legal standards.
  • Maintain and update detailed logs of incoming and outgoing contractual communications.
  • Prepare documentation for dispute resolution procedures, including adjudication or arbitration, if necessary.
  • Review subcontractor contracts and assist in alignment with the main contract.
  • Ensure contract compliance and maintain organized records of all key contractual events

- Work closely with legal, technical, and commercial teams to ensure proper interpretation and application of contract terms.

- Provide necessary input and involvement in risk management.

- Support the Client, the Procurement Team, Project Director (and regional headquarters) in claims defense and negotiation strategy.

- Prepare monthly reports on contract management topics (including problem solving with the client, key input provided, contractual status of procurement contracts, open claims, and risk exposure).


What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in contract commercial management, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in contract management roles within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Mandatory: Strong background in international contract frameworks, particularly FIDIC.
  • Preferred: Experience in metro, rail, or large transportation projects.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills in English – native or near-native level.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with contract and document management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative without detailed supervision
