We are seeking a skilled Railway Telecommunication Engineer to join our Back Office Design Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, review, and technical support of railway telecommunication systems for metro, high-speed rail, and conventional railway projects. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with other railway infrastructure components.
The Communication Engineer responsibilities will include, among other:
- Design and Engineering: Develop detailed designs for railway telecommunication systems, including Fixed Telecom (FT) and Operational Telecom (OT) networks, such as CCTV, PABX, MCS, Public Information system, SCADA, radio communications, and backbone transmission networks.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare design drawings, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with international and project-specific standards.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to relevant railway, telecom, and safety standards such as IEC, ITU, EN, and IEEE.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with E&M systems and civil infrastructure.
- Interface Coordination: Work closely with Civil, Trackwork, Power, and Signaling teams to manage Telecom/SCADA system interfaces.
- Review & Validation: Conduct design reviews, verification, and validation of vendor submissions and contractor designs.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and resolution for technical queries from construction and project teams.
- Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks and ensure quality assurance in the design process.
- Research & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies in railway telecommunication and propose innovative solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in railway telecommunication design, preferably in metro or high-speed rail projects.
- Proficiency in designing telecom systems such as CCTV, TETRA, LTE, and IP/MPLS networks.
- Proficiency in designing Power and Facility SCADA system.
- Familiarity with telecom network design tools and software.
- Understanding of railway systems and SCADA integration.
- Knowledge of relevant railway and telecommunication standards (IEEE 802.3 and 802.11, IEC 60870/61850, ITU-T, IEC 62443).
- Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation), network design software, and Microsoft Office suite, MS Visio.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with global teams.
