About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As a Civil Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of construction sites, verifying adherence to specifications and contract documents, and maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Your meticulous attention to detail and collaborative approach will help us deliver exceptional results while maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders.

  • Inspect site conditions prior to construction commencement to verify compatibility with designed permanent works and identify any obstructions or potential conflicts
  • Photograph, document, and record the condition of existing properties, utilities, and structures that may be affected by construction activities
  • Ensure that existing structures, properties, utilities, and landscaping are adequately protected throughout the construction period
  • Review materials, equipment, and products delivered to site for compliance with approved submittals, samples, and specifications; report any non-conformance promptly
  • Verify that all materials are properly handled, stored, and protected in accordance with specifications and manufacturer recommendations
  • Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure construction is carried out in compliance with Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and technical submittals
  • Prepare and maintain daily site logs, inspection reports, test records, and comprehensive documentation of work executed in accordance with Contract Administration Procedures
  • Monitor site safety practices and construction progress; report any safety concerns or deviations to appropriate parties in a timely manner
  • Assist in the inspection of completed works and preparation of punch lists for final handover
  • Monitor and support start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
  • Analyze construction progress against project schedules and specifications to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction-related issues and maintain project momentum
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager in support of project objectives

What do we need from you

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in civil construction inspection, preferably within building projects and consultant-led environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction standards, codes, and specifications, including Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents
  • Strong reporting and communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining organized site documentation
  • Solid understanding of construction inspection methodologies and contract administration procedures
  • Competency in material compliance verification and quality assurance processes
  • Experience inspecting both temporary and permanent construction works
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in report generation software and documentation systems
  • Physical capability to conduct regular site inspections and assessments
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to transparency and adherence to safety standards
  • Flexible and resilient approach to managing dynamic construction environments
