About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this crucial role, you will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction lifecycle. As a Civil Inspector, you will be the eyes and ears on site, working collaboratively with contractors, supervision teams, and discipline engineers to drive project success while maintaining transparent communication and rigorous documentation standards.
- Conduct regular and systematic inspections and quality control checks throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established standards
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, supervision teams, and discipline engineers on a daily basis to facilitate smooth site progress and resolve issues proactively
- Verify that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, maintaining a cautious and assertive approach to non-compliance
- Monitor workmanship, materials, equipment, and construction sequences to ensure strict compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, test results, and site diaries with organized and transparent documentation practices
- Contribute detailed input to daily, weekly, and monthly site reports, providing analytical insights and factual observations
- Identify and escalate potential risks, delays, constructability issues, and safety concerns early, demonstrating decisive problem-solving capabilities
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, recommending data-driven adjustments and supporting goal-oriented project delivery
- Collaborate inclusively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and shared accountability for project outcomes
What do we need from you
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, construction inspection, or site supervision
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, sequencing, and best practices applicable to infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and written communication skills with a commitment to accuracy and clarity
- Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder environments with strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a natural capability to identify risks, non-compliances, and quality issues early
- Solid knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and site safety compliance requirements
- Proficiency in material and equipment verification, quality assurance, and inspection protocols
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a goal-oriented approach to project delivery
- Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and local building codes (preferred)
