About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Canberra. This role offers the chance to work on diverse, high-impact projects and contribute your expertise in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality civil design solutions across a range of projects.

  • Contribute to the development of budgets and preparation of fee proposals.

  • Undertake detailed civil design, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, landscape architects, and other engineers at project meetings.

  • Support project management activities, including scheduling and reporting.

  • Assist with bids, proposals, and other business development initiatives.

  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes and delivery.


What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with NER/RPEQ accreditation

  • 3+ years’ experience in civil design for land development / subdivisions / greenfield projects.

  • Solid technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.

  • Familiarity with greenfield / brownfield projects, water environments, and water resource management.

  • Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.

  • Experience in QA processes and design reviews.
