About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil/Earthworks Inspector to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the quality, compliance, and integrity of civil engineering and earthworks projects throughout the region. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of construction excellence while fostering collaborative relationships with contractors, engineers, and project managers.   • Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of earthworks, site preparation, and civil engineering projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and local Saudi Arabian regulations
  • Perform comprehensive quality control checks on materials, workmanship, and construction methods, documenting findings with precision and clarity
  • Monitor construction progress in real-time, identifying and documenting any deviations from approved plans or potential issues before they escalate
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address construction-related concerns transparently and resolve issues efficiently
  • Prepare detailed and well-organized inspection reports that include observations, test results, recommendations, and photographic evidence
  • Verify that all work meets rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Attend site meetings regularly and provide technical input on construction matters, demonstrating analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ensure strict adherence to local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices specific to Saudi Arabia
  • Maintain organized records and documentation systems for all inspections, test results, and project communications
  • Identify potential defects or non-conformances and communicate findings assertively yet professionally to relevant stakeholders

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering or construction inspection, with substantial focus on earthworks and site preparation projects
  • Profound knowledge of civil engineering principles, earthworks techniques, and modern construction methodologies
  • Strong understanding of quality control and assurance procedures within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications with precision
  • Excellent report writing skills with proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comprehensive familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards and environmental requirements in construction
  • Professional certification in construction inspection (such as NICET or RICS) is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying defects and non-conformances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to work efficiently, remain organized, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions and challenging environments
  • Proficiency in site safety compliance verification and hazard identification
  • Demonstrated experience in contractor and stakeholder management
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team
