- Creating Detailed Designs: Utilize CAD software to produce detailed 2D and 3D modelling and schematics for road and infrastructure design and construction projects; Convert existing design plans into CAD drawings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements; collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of blueprints.
- Modifying and Optimizing Designs: Edit and revise existing drawings to reflect changes in design or project scope; optimize designs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure high accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations; maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and reference.
- Technical Support: Assist in the preparation of project presentations and reports for stakeholders; Stay updated with the latest BIM/CAD technologies and industry trends.
- Interpreting project briefs and meeting with Team Leader, Project Manager, engineers, and clients (if needed) to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications.
- Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Visiting sites (if needed) to gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
- Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
- Remaining professional when feedback is delivered and implementing any changes to drafts as soon as possible.
- Ensuring drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles.
- Communicating potential design issues to engineers and Team Leader/Project Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in civil engineering or any relevant field
- Proficiency in CAD software, familiar with AutoCAD Civil3D, Revit and other design tools. InfraWorks is desirable.
- Experience in a engineering consultant firm, contractor is required
- Experience abroad is a strong advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry standards, national code and regulations
- Strong level of English to be used in an international work environment
