Chargehand - Marine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chargehand - Marine to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing marine operations, ensuring safety, and leading a team of marine professionals.

• Supervise and coordinate daily marine operations and activities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and safety protocols
• Manage and maintain marine equipment, vessels, and facilities
• Lead and mentor a team of marine professionals, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize marine operations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary improvements
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Participate in emergency response planning and execution when required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations, with a proven track record in a leadership role
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional marine-related education is a plus
• Valid STCW certification and other relevant marine certifications
• Extensive knowledge of marine equipment operation and maintenance
• Strong understanding of maritime regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to make decisive decisions in high-pressure situations
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in using marine-related software and technology
• Physical ability to perform tasks in a marine environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
