About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
- Supervise and lead a team of workers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
- Oversee job site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols
- Coordinate and allocate tasks to team members, optimizing workflow and productivity
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications
- Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and team performance
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Perform hands-on work as needed, demonstrating a willingness to lead by example
- Ensure proper maintenance, use, and storage of tools and equipment
- Provide regular progress reports to management and suggest improvements for efficiency
What do we need from you
- Proven experience as a Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry-specific standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Physical stamina to perform hands-on work when required
- Valid driver's license (may be required depending on specific job duties)
- Familiarity with project management techniques and scheduling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
