About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations, ensuring project efficiency, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Supervise and lead a team of workers on various tasks and projects
- Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule work activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Assign tasks to team members and provide guidance as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Oversee the proper maintenance and storage of tools and equipment
- Perform hands-on work as required to support team efforts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor and report on project progress to management
What do we need from you
- Previous experience as a Chargehand or in a supervisory role in construction or manufacturing
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials and equipment when necessary
- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing processes and equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- UAE work visa or residency (or eligibility to obtain one)
