About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects throughout the city, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform a wide range of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and custom woodworking
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute carpentry projects efficiently
- Measure, cut, shape, and install wood and other materials with precision
- Construct and install structures such as door frames, windows, staircases, and partitions
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper use and care of tools and equipment
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices on the job site
- Identify and resolve carpentry-related issues promptly and effectively
- Assist in material estimation and inventory management
- Mentor and support junior carpenters in developing their skills
- Adapt to changing project requirements and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding project progress and any concerns
What do we need from you
- 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter in the construction industry
- Advanced carpentry skills and proficiency in various woodworking techniques
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong understanding of different types of wood and their properties
- Thorough knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, and regulations
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA)
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different project sites within Dubai
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Valid UAE driver's license preferred
