About the Role

  • Prepares engineering drawings of plans, profiles, Typical sections, cross sections and other typical details based on MTO Standard drawings.   
  • Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
  • Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager.
  • Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.
  • Be competent to develop and understand basic alignments in Civil 3D, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities.
  • 3D design and corridor Modelling in Civil3D will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as Sharepoint and Projectwise will be an asset. 

What do we need from you

  • New Graduate Position, experience on civil engineering projects with CAD related experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software would be considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
