Our UK & Ireland Advisory service line is comprised of three operating units: Buildings Advisory, Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Strategic Advisory. This service line delivers predominantly low-value, high-volume advisory projects, resulting in a large and dynamic pipeline of live opportunities at any given time.
We are now seeking a Business Development Co-ordinator / Analyst to join the team in either London, Glasgow or Edinburgh. Our BD Co-ordinator will maintain and optimise the corporate CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics) for our UK & Ireland Advisory, supporting bidding activity and producing actionable reporting and analysis to inform growth strategy.
This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, visibility and commercial value of the business development pipeline. The Business Development Coordinator / Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the corporate CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics 365), supporting bidding activity and producing actionable reporting and analysis to inform growth strategy.
Initially focused on systems, reporting and coordination, the role is expected to evolve towards deeper market analysis, client development support and strategic growth planning as systems and processes mature.
Horizon 1: Systems, Governance & Reporting (Immediate Focus)
CRM Ownership & Data Integrity
- Maintain and administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 to ensure all opportunities, pursuits and client interactions are accurately captured and progressed.
- Comply with and monitor CRM governance standards, ensuring data completeness, consistency and auditability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CRM support within the Advisory Service Line.
Pipeline Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Produce regular pipeline, conversion and performance reports for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) reporting cycles.
- Analyse win rates, pipeline velocity, sector trends and opportunity performance to identify growth opportunities and risk areas.
- Support forecasting and business planning through data-driven insights.
Bidding & Tender Coordination
- Support bid tracking and tender administration activities.
- Ensure opportunities are correctly staged and documented within CRM in alignment with governance requirements.
- Work closely with the tender unit to maintain visibility of submission timelines and outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Senior Management, Marketing, and the Tender Unit to ensure alignment between pipeline activity, campaigns, and delivery capacity.
- Attend Senior Management meetings and provide concise updates on BD metrics, risks, and actions.
Horizon 2: Market Intelligence & Client Development Support
- Conduct structured market research to identify emerging sectors, framework opportunities and geographic growth areas.
- Analyse competitor positioning, framework wins and pricing trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the development of account plans for key clients.
- Identify cross-selling and repeat business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Monitor client activity and engagement metrics to inform retention strategies.
Horizon 3: Strategic Growth Enablement
Business Development Strategy Support
- Support the development and execution of a structured business development strategy aligned to the Advisory Business Plan.
- Identify potential partnerships, joint ventures, and collaboration opportunities.
- Contribute analytical insight to investment and sector prioritisation decisions.
Networking & Representation
- Coordinate industry event participation and capture follow-up actions.
- Track leads generated
Essential
- Demonstrable experience administering and managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including reporting, dashboards and data governance).
- Experience operating within a bidding / tendering environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales pipeline mechanics.
- Advanced analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level reports.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and process discipline.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to influence without formal authority.

- Experience within engineering consultancy, construction or professional services environments.
- Understanding of advisory or project-based delivery models.
