About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Site Coordinator with a strong background in building coordination. The building site coordinator ensures the links between the designers, the safety engineer, the general contractor, the control consultants, the client and the equipment suppliers. Daily works coordination will be ensured by the general contractor and are not the responsibility of the building site coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the weekly construction meeting
The building site coordinator will lead the weekly meeting and prepare the meeting report. The meeting is key for coordination and decision-taking. The report is key to keep traceability of information.
- Organizing execution drawings acceptance
The contractor will prepare execution documentation. The building site coordinator will submit it to the designer for approval.
- Managing construction changes
In case the Client or the contractor wants to change a part of the scope, the building site coordinator will ensure that all follow the procedures for construction changes.
The building site coordinator will lead commissioning. He will organize commissioning meetings, prepare non-compliance reports and supervise the correction of non-compliance. He will also be in charge of collecting as-built documentation and permission for use.
The building site coordinator will generally check that Contractors realize works according to schedule, plans, quality expectations, hygiene & safety precautions. He will also facilitate communication between the designers, the safety engineer, the general contractor, the client and the control consultants.
What do we need from you
- At least 5 years of experience working as a construction engineer
- BS or MS degree in engineering, construction management or related field is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Good English
