About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Manager - Civil to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for our civil engineering projects, ensuring efficient project delivery and optimal collaboration across teams.
- Develop and implement BIM strategies and workflows for civil engineering projects
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate BIM processes into design, construction, and facility management phases
- Manage and coordinate BIM data exchange between various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BIM team members
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks on BIM models and deliverables
- Resolve complex BIM-related issues and provide innovative solutions
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to current processes
- Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure BIM requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering and BIM implementation
- Proven track record of managing complex BIM projects
- Proficiency in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and Navisworks
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Advanced 3D modeling and visualization skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Familiarity with construction methodologies and standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- In-depth understanding of BIM processes and workflows in civil engineering projects
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Egypt
- Professional certifications such as PMP, BIM certification, or relevant industry certifications are preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
