We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced BIM Lead to join our team in the UAE. The BIM Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and ensuring the successful implementation of BIM standards and protocols across all projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The main duties of the Architect include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the BIM process and ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and project execution plans.
- Coordinate and manage the development of BIM models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to integrate BIM processes into project workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on BIM-related issues and best practices.
- Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, project-specific BIM protocols, and standards.
- Train and mentor team members on BIM tools, processes, and standards.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with BIM standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Report on BIM progress, issues, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. Managing the processes and procedures for information exchange on projects.
- Initiate, agree and implement the Project Information Plan and Asset Information Plan covering :
- Information Structure
- Provision of Information
- Level of detail of information
- Managing BIM Execution Plan
- Managing Common Data Environment and workflow
- Preparation of project Outputs, such as data drops/information exchange.
- Implementation of the BIM Protocol, including and not limited to Responsibility Matrix, MIDP, TIDP
- Receive information into the Information Model in compliance with agreed processes and procedures. Validate compliance with information requirements and advise on noncompliance.
- Maintain the Information Model to meet integrity and security standards in compliance with the employer’s information requirement.
- Managing the implementation of the Project protocol including updating the Appendices.
- Manage the project team members in establishing information exchange processes, including: defining and agree procedures for convening, chairing, attendance and responsibility for recording “information exchange process meetings”.
- Actively participate in BIM committee forum and share responsibility to update U+A BIM standards and library.
- Participate in staff assessment for BIM capabilities and performance
Collaborate with BIM committee to archive yearly quality objective and enable BIM committee in achieving BIM KPIs
- Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in Architectural Design out of which 5 years BIM
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the UAE or the Middle East region is preferred.
