We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Engineer specializing in Wet Utilities to join our dynamic engineering team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will leverage Building Information Modeling technology to design, coordinate, and optimize wet utilities systems for infrastructure and building projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project delivery, adherence to design standards, and innovative solutions that drive project success.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for wet utilities systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewerage networks using industry-standard software such as Revit MEP
- Perform detailed design analysis and modeling of wet utilities infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with Indian plumbing codes and relevant regulatory standards
- Coordinate seamlessly with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to identify, analyze, and resolve design conflicts and clashes in a timely manner
- Create accurate technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive documentation from BIM models to support construction and implementation phases
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and material assessments from BIM models to support cost estimation, project planning, and resource allocation
- Utilize coordination software such as Navisworks to manage, analyze, and present detailed clash detection reports to project stakeholders
- Participate actively in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for optimization, constructability, and innovative solutions
- Maintain organized and well-structured project files while ensuring BIM model integrity and consistency throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Collaborate proactively with project managers and site teams to address design-related queries, modifications, and on-site challenges
- Stay current with evolving BIM standards, wet utilities design best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
- Support the team in developing and refining BIM workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and project outcomes
- 2-5 years of professional experience in BIM design, wet utilities engineering, infrastructure projects, or related fields
- Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM modeling software
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of wet utilities systems design, including water supply, wastewater, and drainage systems
- Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling techniques
- Solid understanding of Indian plumbing codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on experience with clash detection and coordination workflows in BIM environments
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with the ability to think critically and innovatively
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and collaborative skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to accuracy in technical deliverables and quality assurance
- Familiarity with Navisworks or similar project coordination software (preferred)
- Experience with quantity takeoff and cost estimation from BIM models (preferred)
- Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a dynamic environment
