We are seeking a skilled BIM Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models for MEP systems, ensuring efficient coordination and integration of building services.
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit MEP and other BIM software
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve conflicts
- Create and manage BIM content libraries for MEP components
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate representation of MEP systems in BIM models
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols
- Assist in the development of MEP system layouts and design concepts
- Generate reports, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on BIM-related issues
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and best practices in the MEP field
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 7 years of experience in BIM for MEP projects
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit MEP and Navisworks
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modeling techniques
- Expertise in MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience with clash detection and coordination processes
- Familiarity with building codes and standards relevant to MEP systems
- BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of building construction processes and MEP systems integration
